Every Phoenix Botánica formula begins with a question: What does this need to do?
The answer determines everything that follows. Some formulas are intentionally simple. Others are layered, slow-crafted, and built from a much longer list of botanicals. Complexity is never the goal. Effectiveness is.
Every product page includes the complete ingredient list, so you always know exactly what's inside.
The Range
Every formula is built for its purpose. Some only need a few carefully chosen ingredients. Others, like WARRIOR OIL™ and The Waters, are slow-infused over weeks and contain a much broader range of botanicals.
Simplicity isn't better. Complexity isn't better. The formula simply needs to do its job well.
The Carriers
Carrier oils do more than dilute essential oils. They're part of the formula.
Each one is chosen for what it contributes. Some absorb quickly and leave a lighter feel. Others provide lasting moisture, more glide for massage, or help support the botanical infusions. That's why some of our formulas use a single carrier, while others, like WARRIOR OIL™, combine several. Every oil is there for a reason.
Vitamin E is included throughout our formulas to help preserve freshness and support skin health. MCT offers a light, fast-absorbing feel. Jojoba closely resembles the skin's natural oils. Sweet almond adds conditioning. Pumpkin seed brings a rich nutrient profile. Kukui and castor contribute glide and a longer-lasting massage experience.
The Actives
Every botanical is chosen for a purpose.
Some are selected to help create a sense of calm, like lavender, clary sage, and marjoram. Others bring a grounding, resinous character, including frankincense, cedarwood, and vetiver. Bright botanicals like bergamot FCF, rosemary, and eucalyptus create freshness and clarity, while warming oils such as ginger, turmeric CO₂, and juniper add depth to formulas designed for massage and recovery.
Some products go a step further. Our deeper botanical formulas begin with slow herbal infusions that steep for weeks before the final blend is created. Depending on the formula, those infusions may include botanicals such as white willow bark, devil's claw, mugwort, calendula, skullcap, and others.
What We Leave Out
No synthetic fragrance. No parabens. No animal testing.
We formulate in small batches using ingredients chosen for a purpose, not to fill space on a label. Every formula is balanced for effectiveness and skin comfort, not simply pushed to the highest possible concentration.

More important than where you apply it is giving yourself permission to pause. Whether that's ten seconds with a roller or twenty minutes in a bath, those few moments matter.
