I Am the Volcanic Ingredient.

I am the volcanic ingredient.
Most brands source their ingredients from the earth. I am the ingredient. Forged under the same conditions that build volcanoes — immigration, survival, loss, pressure that doesn't pause, and a nervous system that had to learn to hold all of it without going under.
Phoenix Botánica was not born in a calm environment. It was engineered inside one that never stopped moving.
This is not a new experiment.
It is a very old one, arriving in a new form.
The Paternal Line — Michoacán, 1839
My 2nd great-grandfather, Atanasio Francisco de Paula Mier Parra, founded Farmacia Mier in Morelia in 1868 — the first pharmacy of its kind in the state of Michoacán. His original formulations won first prize at international expositions in St. Louis and Paris in 1872. That pharmacy still operates today.
His son, Ignacio Mier Arriaga, studied piano in Paris on a government pension and returned to found the School of Fine Arts and build what became the Morelia Symphony Orchestra. His son, Dr. Antonio Mier y Torcida, became a physician and medical professor — a man his colleagues mourned in print when he died.
Every generation of this line built something that outlasted them.
The Maternal Line — Purépecha Earth
My great-grandmother Guadalupe does not appear in encyclopedias. No institution recorded what she knew. But someone in my family kept her photograph in a jeweled frame — because they understood, even without words for it, that what she carried was sacred.
She was Purépecha. Indigenous to the volcanic highlands of Michoacán. Her knowledge was land-based, body-based, passed through presence rather than documentation. The kind of knowing that predates the pharmacopeia — and that the pharmacopeia, at its best, was always trying to approximate.
I carry both. The documented and the ancestral. The laboratory and the earth.
"Two lineages. One formulator. One inevitable brand."— Vee, Founder
Austin Witches Market · The Brewtorium · Austin, TX · March 2026 · First market. Not the last.Built in real time.
Under real pressure.
I am a first-generation immigrant, Houston-raised, and a mother of six — including a 27-week micro-preemie with cerebral palsy who is thriving. I have spent nearly three decades navigating high-stakes environments where there is no margin for collapse. I co-own a fire alarm and low-voltage company. I operate in construction, compliance, and crisis.
When traditional solutions couldn't keep pace with the load I was carrying, I didn't retreat. I went back to what I already knew — the science in my blood, the earth in my bones — and I started engineering my own tools. Functional. Precise. Built for systems under pressure.
Phoenix Botánica is for the Over-Functioners. The builders and caregivers managing the chaos anyway, even when their nervous system is running hot. In the car. On the job site. In the middle of an overwhelm that doesn't pause because you need it to.
Resilience isn't about pushing harder. It's about being resourceful enough to find your way back to center — so you can keep moving.
These products are not escape. They are not indulgence. They are functional intervention, rooted in 150 years of formulation intelligence and the unrecorded wisdom of a Purépecha woman standing barefoot on volcanic earth.
Your nervous system already knows what it needs.
